Gazeteer Entry #1: History of the Lizardfolk and The Confederacy of the Teeth
In the Time of the Ancients, Isshath, snake goddess battled Sil Faen, elven god of the sky for the moon. Sil Faen was strong and formidable, but Isshath had a trick for Sil Faen. She had paid the dwarven god of the smith, Karn, to forge her a dagger that would pierce Sil Faen's golden armor.
As she stabbed at Sil Faen's heart, she stabbed through his golden armor and screamed with delight. But her scream of delight turned to one of horror as she also pierced Sil Faen's soul pendant. With an eruption of light Sil Faen's soul burst from the pendant, that was also constructed by Karn, searing Isshath to the bone. Her final thoughts were of the treachery of Karn's pendant, as she watched Sil Faen's soul drift to the moon to light its glorious surface.
The only remains of Isshath, her jaw and her teeth fell from the sky to the sea, creating the island chains known as the Confederacy of the Teeth, homeland of the Lizardfolk.
